In order to bring out the flavor of Isigny Sainte-Mère butter, they tried using different ingredients, including a variety of carefully selected flours, eggs, and condensed milk. The dough is fermented moderately and baked in a specialized oven at a low temperature of 180℃. The cube shape looks just perfect with 10cm sides. The outer crust has exquisite saltiness and aroma that add to its deliciousness.

“It’s freshly baked,” I say as I hand my friends a perfect loaf of Japanese milk bread. This beautifully baked loaf of bread has a golden brown color that anyone can tell is freshly baked. Whether you enjoy it yourself at home or give it as a gift, it leaves a lasting impression on everybody who tastes it.
I slice the bread with a bread knife and share it with my loved ones. It is soft and fluffy, like a chiffon cake, and has a nice texture that enthralls you. You might think it’s just a loaf of bread, but this loaf of bread makes everyone go, “Wow!”
Made with butter by Isigny Sainte-Mère of France, which is granted PDO (PDO: the protected designation of origin) , the bread has a profound aroma and richness that are just exceptional. It would be best if you enjoyed this premium bread without putting anything on it first. No butter. No jam.
If you give it time, the bread becomes a little firmer and is best enjoyed toasted or paired with coffee. It is also exquisite to make it into an open sandwich using pork loin ham and pair it with a glass of wine. The bread’s subtle sweetness also makes it perfect for sandwiches with seasonal fruits like strawberries or peaches.
The General Manager of the RIHGA Royal Hotel Osaka had the desire to offer guests special bread, and the team led by Boulanger Kinoshita Michihiro made it possible through trial and error with this premium bread. Kinoshita proudly says, “We had many people try our bread before it went on sale, and it paid off. It’s been doing very well since its launch in October.”
Baked fresh twice a day, once in the morning and once in the afternoon. Only 40 loaves are available per day. I guarantee it’s even worth visiting Melissa just to get a loaf. As I hurry over to my friend’s house, carrying a weighty loaf, I can’t help but smile.
